The Flagstaff highs are pushing 70 degrees all!
Summer is still a looong way off in the high country, but I’ve been dreaming.
And part of that dreaming is… ogling swimwear.

More grain bowls!
This past winter was mild. So, so very mild. I think we only had three snowfalls?
So, it seems a little premature to get excited about warm weather adventures, but… here we are!
It’s been a month since Ryan and I spontaneously adopted our husky pup Ochi from the Maricopa County animal shelter system, and what a month it’s been!
Namaste friends, it’s time for the next step in my yoga teaching career! This past weekend, I paid my deposit and reserved my spot in a month-long 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) program in Rishikesh Uttarakhand: the BIRTHPLACE OF YOGA in the HIMALAYAN FOOTHILLS in northern INDIA!
To say I am excited is an UNDERSTATEMENT!
Anyone who knows me knows that single-use plastics are one of my biggest pet peeves.
No joke — a few years ago at Friendsgiving, we were playing “Taboo.” My friend Lauren drew a card and-
Lauren: “Oooo, OOO! The thing Randi hates!”
Everyone at the table, all at once: “PLASTIC!”
So, when I discovered the Azulita Project, a Flagstaff-based non-profit focused on reducing single-use plastics, I was SO on board.
I’m already way, way behind on my reading for the year, yikes.
Ryan and I are back home from our quick weekend trip down to central Arizona to visit Arcosanti: A destination I’ve been wanting to visit for a while!
It’s been a mostly mild winter, but I’m still excited for spring!
Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve done one of these!
But, we kicked the new year off with a “return to office” initiative, and once I took a look at my closet, I realized I needed new clothes.
I’ve spent the last three years working from home in leggings, slippers and Patagonia fleeces, and before that, I spent six months of unemployment wearing sports bras and running shorts. Prior to that, I rotated through the same five outfits as a Peace Corps volunteer and before that, it was 2019 and I was running through Chicago in dark skinny jeans and ballet flats.
Fashion has changed quite a bit since the last time I set foot in an office environment.
The youths wear baggy pants now.
RIP business casual.
