The things I’ve worn most: Spring 2022

June 20, 2022 September 19, 2022 Randi634 views

Heheehe I’m back to let you all know that I still wear the same pair of Prana hiking pants.

Every day.

Kidding.

Kind of.

I’m in the process of revamping my “Things Randi Likes” page to include all of the things I wear on a weekly basis — my Danner hiking boots, Prana hiking pants, Lululemon Energy bras and Luxtreme Wunder Under leggings (RIP), Patagonia base layers, etc.

I just got a lil distracted by fire season… hope it’s understandable!

Which means… I have to get a little more creative now because I can’t simply cycle through the seasons going like “mhm yes, Birkenstocks and Lululemon Sculpt tanks this summer, Timbs and Levis Wedgie jeans this winter.” Oh no. I have to find NEW things to wear.

So. Without further ado!

・・・

My (Forest Service) work uniform! Hahaha, no, but really. I spent more time in Nomex cargo pants and/ or a khaki button-up emblazoned with the Forest Service shield than ever before.

…My (YogaSix) work uniform! If I’m not wearing a Forest Service uniform, I’m probably wearing YogaSix-branded swag. ANYWAY!

Abercrombie & Fitch henley crop tops. I’d been eyeing these for months before I finally pulled the trigger, and I am in love with them. I’ve worn these to bars with high-waisted jeans and a leather jacket, and out paddle boarding over a swim suit.

Lulus boxy linen crop top. This pairs so well with so much of what I wear. I’ll pair it casually with jeans, and I’ve worn it with high-waisted wide-legged pants to the office. I own it in both white and slate gray, I love it so much.

Amazon maxi skirt. This is cheap and floor-length, what more could you want. I wear this with a cute tank top tucked in or a knotted t-shirt over top to brunch with Ryan’s parents and to the farmers market.

Goodr sunglasses. I keep stealing these from Ryan because they’re amazing. I took a single pair of his with me to the Tahoe, and now that I’m back, he has tons more colors and patterns for me to steal borrow.

Lululemon Everywhere belt bag. Well, it’s not a list without something from Lululemon on it. I love this bag! I use it when I take Yukon on his daily walks and when I’m paddle boarding. I’m planning on eventually getting a waterproof belt bag to use while I’m paddling, but for now, this with a Stasher bag inside is just fine.

United By Blue convertible tote bag. I FINALLY FOUND THE PERFECT WORK BACKPACK! My government-issued work computer is a behemoth 17-inch HP Zbook — and every single laptop-compatible bag is made for MacBook Airs! This bag not only fits my massive computer, it also has two external water bottle pockets that FIT MY HYDROFLASK, and the bag itself converts from a tote to a backpack. I am OBSESSED.

Lulu’s mesh-accented tank top. I have this in black and white, and it’s great over a bralette and under a leather jacket for the bar, or (you guessed it) tucked into a maxi skirt.

J. Crew Vintage Cotton v-neck t-shirts. I have a fulllll stack of these in every color (well, every neutral color) in my dresser drawer. I’m obsessed. I’ll wear the black ones on fires with my Nomex cargo pants. I’ll wear the white ones knotted on one side with a maxi or high-waisted jeans. These are my favorite ever staple t-shirt.

Madewell leather jacket. This was a big splurge after my previous faux-leather jacket started flaking and I had to ditch it when I evacuated my Peace Corps post in Ukraine, and it has been 100 percent worth it. This is my go-to spring night jacket.

・・・

So, there ya go.

I feel like the older I get, the less I shop, and the more I turn to reliable neutral staples I can wear again and again. But, I’m not mad! It’s easy to get dressed when all your clothes match, and good-quality staples are fairly sustainable.
