Have I mentioned how grateful I am to live in the part of Arizona with seasons?
It’s been snowing on and off here since early November, so it feels weird that fall is officially over and winter is officially beginning.
We’re in a bit of a cold snap right now — it’s been averaging single digits at night for the past week, and I’ve been wearing winter layers for weeks now, so it feels a little weird to think back to what I was wearing in October.
Regardless, here we go.

Doc Martens. I have wanted these forever but was never sure I could pull them off. Well, here we are. I LOVE them. They look especially great when I roll and cuff my..,
…Famous Abercrombie & Fitch TikTok jeans. Yes, I am still on this. These jeans look SO CUTE rolled up with my Doc Martens.
Express mock-neck sleeveless top. I bought this back when I was living in Chicago on a whim, and even packed it with me when I left for Peace Corps, but I never really wore it until this season. Now I love it. I wear it all the time tucked into my high-waisted jeans under my leather jacket.
Smokey tee. I have various Landmark Collection Smokey products, but this t-shirt made an appearance a lot this winter! I wore it to a work training (obviously) with my baggy ’90s jeans, my Docs and a loose black blazer.
Patagonia “Better Sweater” jacket. I’m always freezing come winter and it doesn’t help that Ryan’s preferred room temperature is 65 degrees. I bought this to keep on my home office desk chair, but I’ve been wearing it quite a bit. Even took it snowshoeing with me.
Smartwool socks. Smartwool’s “Hike Light” socks are my favorite for hiking. I found these adorable little campfire-print Smartwool socks a few weeks ago and immediately bought them. I wear them hiking (obviously) but also with sweaters and leggings casually.
Madewell ribbed long-sleeved tee. I bought this a few years ago but it’s such a great basic that it’s still available at Madewell.
Lou & Grey gray boucle sweater. I can’t link this sweater because it’s like, five years old and I originally bought it at a resale store, but it’s one of the few items in my closet I will keep forever and ever, even if I no longer wear it with statement necklaces.
Madewell keychain. This is kind of lame, but I finally bought a little hook to keep my house/car/office keys on, and MAN. Gamechanger. They don’t get lost in my bag anymore.
Madewell Whisper Cotton Turtleneck. Under a leather jacket with leggings? Yes. Half-tucked into baggy jeans with a leather jacket? Also yes.

I realized while I was putting this post together that I haven’t done ANY shopping for myself, clothing-wise, recently… so hopefully I’ll change that soon!
