8/12.
Not a whole lot this month outside of work, my trip to Michigan, and…
…wedding planning and NOW ALSO house hunting (more on that later), which are now the seemingly-never-ending themes of my life.
Which, yeah. Ryan and I have started looking for a home to buy! It’s exciting — albeit a bit terrifying. It’s a lot to undertake right now with wedding planning and (yunno) fire season, but things will calm down eventually.

August’s book club focused on “Pure Land: A True Story of Three Lives, Three Cultures and the Search for Heaven on Earth” (which I read last month) and it was pretty exciting since it was the first book club meeting all of us were able to attend in quite some time!

I made this amazing (and entirely vegan!) chickpea “shawarma” dip at book club, which was a huge hit.

Obligatory Ochi pic!

I snuck down to Edge of the World (yunno, that place I got engaged at!) to play paparazzi for a friend of a friend who also (unrelatedly) had the idea to propose to his girlfriend there. Colin and Mary Kate are the most adorable humans ever, their dog Bojack is such a ham, and I feel so fortunate they trusted me to play a role in their special day.

I met up with a friend for patio breakfast sandwiches at Sosta earlier this month.

Ryan and I finally had enough time together to go on a date night to Pizzicletta this past weekend.

Ryan and I spent a wonderful afternoon walking around Flagstaff’s Foxglenn Park, which was somewhere the two of us hadn’t previously been to.

One of my recent go-to weekend breakfasts has been toast with whipped cottage cheese and roasted cherry tomatoes on-the-vine.
