10/12.
Wedding weekend in Tucson. Ryan was a part of his crew friend Moldy’s wedding at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort. Despite the rain, it was a beautiful desert ceremony and a fun time at the reception.

Part of the Tucson wedding weekend festivities included a guided tour of the Pima Air & Space Museum, which made my pilot very happy.

Ryan and I had a lunch date at El Charro in Tucson, the oldest continually-operated Mexican restaurant in the U.S., home of the chimichanga.

My fellow Swiftie friend Jenni and I got dressed up to head to Harkins for the “Official Release Party of a Showgirl” on October 3.
My thoughts on the album? Probably similar to most. I’m not obsessed. I love the first three tracks, “Ruin the Friendship” ruined me, and I felt the album was overall a little slow… but tbh I was expecting a second “1989,” and it’s hard to acknowledge I’ll be chasing the high I felt after that album’s release forever. I do like “The Life of a Showgirl” waaaayyy more than “The Tortured Poet’s Department” and I’m sure it will grow on me, like “Reputation” did.

Ochi turned 7! He celebrated with a burger from In N Out.

Dinner at Fat Olive’s earlier this month — including Aperol Spritzes, of course.

I tried making scones for the first time. I went with lemon blueberry using this recipe from Sally’s Baking Addiction, and they turned out pretty decent for it being my first attempt.

I turned 36, and Ryan took me out to a nice dinner at TeppanFuji here in Flagstaff, following a long day of home renovations.

I’ve been intermittently furloughed over the past few weeks (yes, work is a shitshow right now) and our soup contest was therefore canceled.

Soup at home is still going strong, though. I made my favorite vegan “chicken” noodle soup recipe earlier this month, using traditional egg noodles and Butler Soy Curls, with some Trader Joe’s Vegan Chickenless Seasoning Salt (RIP).
