12/12.
This is slowly turning into a “photos I would have posted to Instagram stories if I still had Instagram stories” post.
It’s been a really slow winter, which has been nice. Aside from doing a shit ton of reading, Ryan and I have also been working on our house nonstop. I’ll have an update post about that coming pretty soon! But outside of our home renovations, here’s how I spent December.
I spent a few cozy hours at the studio decorating a stocking to hang in our lobby as part of our staff holiday party. Our studio regulars filled it with kind notes, candies, cookies, and even a pair of electric hand warmers (thank you Sandie!!)! It reminded me how blessed I am to be part of such an amazing community.

After rushing back from a work training in Tucson, I saw “The Nutcracker” at Northern Arizona University with a few friends. It featured the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra with the NAU Community Dance Academy, and it was so fun to see a few familiar faces up on stage.

I tried the butternut squash pasta (so good!) as part of a girls night out at Flg Terroir downtown.

My friend Katie and I did a bit of last-minute Christmas shopping in downtown Flagstaff. Katie bought a few fun things, and I mostly just admired the ever-changing sticker display at Black Hound Gallerie.

Ryan’s sweet crew friend Elizabeth dropped some Christmas cookies off at our house before the holidays! I had to skip the holiday baking this year due to the current state of our home renovations, so it was a delicious surprise.

Ryan’s crew friend Luis eloped a few days before Christmas! He and his new wife held an impromptu wedding reception at Wanderlust. Ryan and I were lucky enough that we were around to attend.

Ochi had a wonderful holiday. He got lots of treats in his Christmas presents.

The holidays were pretty tiring for him, though.

Ryan and I took a day trip out to Holbrook so he could try some pizza from our wedding caterer (Dough Mama Pizza) since we’ll be putting our reception menu together soon.
