More Moab hiking: Canyonlands National Park

February 21, 2021 February 3, 2022 Randi490 views

Alright: I am back to finish yesterday’s park with a second National Park of the weekend: Canyonlands National Park.

Sara and I skipped breakfast and went straight to Canyonlands because we knew we had to head back to Flagstaff after our hike and we didn’t want to waste a second.

Side note: I loved the drive in because there were just cows everywhere.

Cows not pictured.

I let Sara pick the trail and she decided to do the Neck Spring Trail, which was — in theory — a six-mile loop trail.

However, it was really poorly marked. After a little more than three miles in, we kept losing the trail, so we opted to take it as an out-and-back so we didn’t end up lost and dead in the middle of a National Park.

After that, we were done. I made Sara take some super basic photos of me at an overlook (not sorry) and then we got back in my Jeep and went back to Flagstaff.

No, I didn’t wear this hiking, I changed for the photo. Why am I the way I am? Couldn’t tell ya.

I know I keep saying this, but I definitely want to come back post-pandemic. Moab seemed really cute, and I want to be able to actually enjoy the shops and restaurants and whatnot.

Also… off-roading. Kinda wanna take my Jeep off-roading here.

So, that’s about it! I could have spent DAYS in Canyonlands and still not have been content. I’m lucky this is really close to Flagstaff because I definitely have plans to come back!
