Well. This summer was the summer of paddle boarding was the summer of swimsuits.
I live in Arizona. There’s no water here. Swimsuits are an anomaly.
Anyway. Here’s everything I wore the most this past summer, with the exception of all the hiking, running and fitness wear that dominates my wardrobe these days.
(This list does NOT include anything from Lululemon. Please just forever assume that if I’m working remotely or doing ANYTHING outdoors during the summer, I’m wearing Lululemon Sculpt tank + Free to Be Serene bra + Hotty Hot shorts. Just assume that. Thanks.)

Abercrombie & Fitch swim suit (top and bottoms).A CUTE BIKINI. THAT ACTUALLY FITS! A&F, please NEVER stop making the Curve Love line! This swimsuit actually fits my rib cage AND my tatas and it LOOKS CUTE!
CALIA ribbed bikini top. OK, who would have thought Dick’s Sporting Goods had CUTE SWIMWEAR?! I struggle SO much with finding cute swimwear that actually functions. I’m sorry. I’m trying to actually move around on my paddle board and the current dental floss-style swimwear is NOT conducive to doing any of that. This bikini top is cute and supportive! And it fits my small ribcage and large bust! Unfortunately the matching bottoms are awful, so I just wear non-matching bottoms with shorts overtop.
CALIA “sculpt” bikini top. (And matching bottoms.) I don’t LOVE the bottoms, but at least they match. This is another highly supportive swimsuit that doesn’t look too much like a bra that holds everything in while I flip inversions on my paddle board.
The famous Abercrombie & Fitch TikTok jeans. OK, I actually only got these because they were on a promotion for free shipping and returns and I needed something to add to my total for free shipping when I bought the above A&F swimsuit, but I ended up LOVING them! Ryan did, too, so I ended up making them a permanent part of my closet.
Birkenstock “Mayari” sandals. I’m a Birks fiend. I don’t ever really wear anything else during the summer months, and I usually buy a new pair of Birks every year because I wear mine out so fast.
Express sleeveless “Portofino” shirts. FULL disclaimer: Mine are a few seasons old so they’re slightly different than what’s linked, and look more like the photo in the above graphic. But, I still love either tucking or tying these shirts and pairing them with high-waisted shorts or maxi skirts.
High-waisted wide-legged black pants. ANOTHER disclaimer. My pair is from H&M, but is several years old, so the exact pair no longer exists online. However, the pair I linked is ALMOST identical, with the same smocked waist. I actually want to buy this pair in every color because I love my cheap H&M pants so much.
J. Crew “Going Out” blazer. I had a few work events this summer that I had to actually dress nicely for, so when those events happen, I layer this blazer over a tank top and pair both pieces with jeans and flats. I love that this is collar-less, so it feels VERY casual… which is great when you work for one of the MOST casual employers EVER.
Sage-colored Lulus cropped tank. I bought this last year, and I still love it. It’s low-cut enough that my beloved Adella bralettes barely peek out, but it’s still loose enough that it feels comfortable.
Teva “Original Universal” sandals. I think I’ve mentioned it nine or 20 times now, but I picked up paddle boarding this summer, and these sandals are a staple on paddle days.

I’m already excited for fall weather and cozy knits and boots! Especially now that I can knit my own sweaters. We’re down to the 40s at night here, now, so I’ll be retiring all my swimwear really soon!
