Here we are, three months after the February edition of S#!T I’ve been loving lately, and I’m back with a few more fun discoveries that I’ve been really into lately.
The past few months? Some new menus at Flagstaff restaurants, new outdoor gear (including a GENIUS GADGET THAT CONSOLIDATES ISOPRO FUEL CANISTERS, you are welcome in advance) and a new addition to my very outdated skincare routine that I totally need to update.

Kula Cloth: I finally got on board the (as my friend Lauren so fondly says) “luxury pee rag” trend. I always love a good water-adjacent hike/ backpacking trip, which makes these easy to clean and less wasteful than toilet paper or Kleenex squares. I snagged mine on Etsy, but I linked to the REI page so you can see the product description.
Pen refills: Sustainability! After collecting empty pens (specifically, Pilot G-2 0.38, if you use anything else, you’re a monster) for years, I finally bought a dozen pen refills. Much less wasteful, and now I’m no longer constantly tossing spent pens to the side.
C25K: I am what I like to refer to as a seasonal runner. I hate running in the cold and I hate running on a treadmill. So, as soon as the weather warms up, I’m re-training myself how to run. I’m really injury-prone, so this app helps me pace myself to work back into running without shin splints or fractured heels. (Yes, that happened to me.)
FlipFuel: One of our local outdoors supply stores (Peace Surplus) started carrying these, and Ryan and I impromptu purchased one. We are obsessed! We cleared out literally a dozen half-empty isopro canisters in a single day. This little device makes it so easy to ensure you’re packing a completely full fuel canister when you’re going backpacking. Now, we buy isopro in the big cans and refill our little cans before heading out on an adventure.
Tretinoin: My dermatologist prescribed me a tube of the lowest dosage Tret available, and I’ve started using it nightly.
The Nemo Riff 15 sleeping bag: I recently upgraded my backpacking sleep setup, which now includes this sleeping bag. I love it! It’s so cozy and warm. I just have to know, though: Nemo, WHY is it pink?! Why is the women’s gear ALWAYS pink!?
DSB Beer Garden & Atmosphere Kitchen: I was pretty vocal about how I didn’t really like the “upscale pub food” menu at Flagstaff’s Dark Sky beer garden when it opened, but the menu has a few new items on it recently and DSB stepped up. The elote dip is so good.
Tomatoes: We’re approaching gardening season here in Flagstaff! I’m trying three different types of tomatoes this year in hopes that one will harvest. High elevation gardening probs.
Spicy impossible sausage: So… speaking of Dark Sky! The Pizzicletta side has a pizza that looks SO good called the Bee’s Knees — olive oil, mascarpone, mozzarella, sage, honey and spicy sausage. Ryan and I have never been able to try it because we don’t eat meat. One day, Ryan decided to recreate his version of the pizza at home, and BAM! Instant hit. We’ve been making this at least twice a month for the past few months.

So, that’s some of the shit I’ve been liking lately. I’m excited for the upcoming warm weather because I’ve slooowwllyyy started packing away the winter gear, and shopping for some new and/or upgraded summer rec gear. Stay tuned!
