S#!T I’ve been loving lately (March 2024 edition)

March 15, 2024 March 14, 2024 Randi336 views

I’m back with another lil product review post recapping some of the things I’ve bought, tried and loved over the course of the last few weeks.

So many of the things I’ve found myself trying and loving over the course of the last two months have been haircare products, but there are a good number of other self-care products on this list, too.

It’s been that kind of a winter.

Rubber water bottle gaskets. When’s the last time you cleaned your water bottle lid? This is kind of disgusting — I had been tossing mine in the dishwasher but didn’t notice how much gunk was built up in the rubber gasket of my lid. I recently pried the gasket out of the lid with a butterknife last month and it was solid black (ew!). I ordered this three-pack of gaskets to replace it and they’re perfect — and much more hygienic.

Rosemary hair and scalp oil. I’ve been trying to take better care of my hair lately. I’m in the awful habit of throwing it up in a high bun and very infrequently washing it since I’m constantly in some kind of a fitness class, and I’ve started to notice over the past year just how much breakage there is. I bought this oil on Amazon to try and while the reviews say it’ll take months to notice any difference, it does at least smell nice, and the application process is relaxing.

Mielle is TikTok’s preferred brand, but it was out of stock when I tried to order, and this had the same ingredients at the same cost.

Scalp oil dispenser. I’ve seen a lot of folks just use an eye dropper to apply hair oil along their parts, but I decided to try this roller ball applicator tool. It’s incredible! it just screws on over your oil bottle and then you can just roll it around your scalp.

This little gadget just twists onto my oil bottle for easy dispensing.

Scalp massager. Similarly — I bought this hand-held scalp massager to help me work my shampoo into my scalp better, and this is also great for massaging in my rosemary oil after application.

Ouai hair products. I’ve been switching up my shampoo and conditioners lately to try to rehydrate my hair. So far, I’ve liked the Ouai detox shampoo, and the conditioner designed for fine hair!

Threshold crackling wood wick candles. These are Target’s version of the WoodWick brand, and Ryan and I actually might like the Target brand more? The crackling sound is really noticeable and really relaxing, and we both love the smell — we tried the “Leather + Embers” scent.

Cozy!

Dang-brand Thai rice coconut crisps. I spontaneously picked up a package of these at Whole Foods before Ryan and I headed out on a Sedona hike, and I really liked them. They’re really crunchy and not overly-sweet.

Dreamegg white noise machine. This was a Ryan purchase, and I have to admit, I’ve come around to it.

KitchenAid Professional 600 Series stand mixer (similar). This was a Christmas gift from Ryan, and it’s a huge upgrade over my old artisan tilt-head KitchenAid. I love baking — especially bread and cookies — and it’s nice to have a bigger bowl for larger batches.
