Cherry almond smoothie

July 5, 2024 July 3, 2024 Randi352 views

I’ve been on a major smoothie kick lately.

Obviously. It’s summer! What’s not to love about an icy cold blend of sweet and tart fruit?

I picked up a bag of frozen cherries at Whole Foods the other day and decided to try a simple cherry-forward smoothie.

This one is a winner! It’s loaded with cherry flavor, packs a bit of a protein punch with almond butter and has a nice creamy finish from the banana and almond milk.

Yummmmm.

This recipe makes 1 serving.

・・・

INGREDIENTS:

Quick note: These measurements are estimations. You can add more or less of each ingredient to taste.

  • 1 cup vanilla almond milk (traditional or extra creamy is fine)
  • 1 small banana (the riper the better)
  • Handful of frozen dark sweet cherries
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
PROCESS:

Add everything to a blender and blend until smooth!

Tip: If you don’t have vanilla-flavored almond milk, regular is fine. Just add a touch of vanilla extract to your blender as well.

Tip: If your banana is too green or too large, you’ll end up with more of a banana taste than a cherry taste. Look for a smaller yellow banana with brown spotting.

・・・

Enjoy!
