When I asked Ryan if there was anywhere he wanted to check out during our India trip, he didn’t hesitate at all to request a few days in Puducherry (Pondicherry).
*A quick note: The town is now formally called Puducherry, but is still widely known as Pondicherry and is known to locals as “Pondy,” so I’ll refer to it as all three interchangeably in the following post.
After we wrapped up our time in Anjuna, Goa, Ryan and I caught a flight to Chennai, and then took a taxi ride to Pondicherry.
So… if you haven’t been following along, I just wrapped up four incredible weeks at my 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) program in Rishikesh, India.
It was a wonderful experience, but it was intense! It was basically non-stop 16-hour days of learning, which my middle-aged brain hasn’t really had to do in quite some time.
Which led me to a beach. In Goa.
But only after the worst airport layover experience I have ever had in my entire life.
And just like that, my 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) program in Rishikesh, India, is over.
I’m an Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) 500 now!
The days have been long, but the month has been so, so short.
Let’s address the space-time continuum* for a quick second. In the real world, I wrapped up my 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) program at Rishikesh Yogpeeth’s Abhayaranya ashram in the Himalayas of northern India’s Uttarakhand state on Saturday, but over here on the internet, I’m way behind on posting.
*I actually don’t really understand the space-time continuum, so please take this with a grain of salt
I originally planned on writing a post detailing my last two weeks at the ashram, but it started getting pretty lengthy and the photo uploads were taking forever, so I’m just here with a little recap of my third week at the ashram.

Time is flying!
It’s been about three weeks since I left the U.S., and a little more than two weeks since I started my 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) program in northern India’s Uttarakhand state.
My program is four weeks long with graduation planned for Nov. 16, which means I’m just about halfway through.
Time feels like it’s flying by — but at the same time, it feels like it was years ago that I first hiked my way up the mountain to get here and caught my first glimpse of this little paradise hidden away in the Himalayas.

I can’t believe it’s already been a week since I arrived at my ashram in India’s Uttarakhand state.
I’m situated up in the Himalayan foothills, just outside of Rishikesh at Rishikesh Yogpeeth’s Abhayaranya ashram.
It’s such a gorgeous and spiritual and amazing place, and I’m so lucky I get to spend the next several weeks living and studying here as I work to obtain my 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) certification.

I recently left Delhi after arriving at Indira Gandhi International Airport (and spending a night there) to make my way over to Rishikesh, which is where I’ll be spending the next five or so weeks for my Yoga Teacher Training program.
