Just wanted to take a quick second today to share this crunchy, colorful salty-sweet salad that Ryan and I have been eating a ton of lately.
New year, new books!
Well, 2024 is here, which means my office has ended max telework and I’m now reporting to the office in-person for three days a week.
I’m a little disappointed — I loved max telework. It just makes it much easier to maintain a healthy work-life balance, and it makes it a lot easier to eat healthy when I can cook all my meals at home on my lunch breaks.
But, I digress.
While I do have to give up working from the comfort of home full time, I’m not going to give up healthy lunches.
Enter: grain bowls!
OOOO boy. The snow kinda came a little late to Flagstaff this season, but we’re now two snowstorms into this winter and the San Francisco peaks are sparkly and white.
So, it’s officially winter recreation season!
Another list full of stuff I probably didn’t need to buy, but bought anyway.
I saw this trend on Instagram, and I thought it was fun, so here I am!
One of my favorite things about teaching for a modern fitness-focused yoga studio is being able to teach themed classes.
Not only does YogaSix allow for it — our lead teacher encourages it!
Since I started teaching at YogaSix about two years ago, I’ve had the opportunity to host several fun classes with matching playlists.
I just wanted to take a second to share some of those themes and playlists with you.
Happy new year!
2023 has come to an end, and so has my Goodreads annual reading challenge.
I was able to finish 51 books this year, which is two more than last year and more than any other year since I started using Goodreads to keep track of my reading.
I get more excited about my Goodreads year-in-review than my Spotify Wrapped, to be honest.
My Goodreads year-in-review says I read about 17,000 pages this year, and while some of them were duds, I was easily able to list nine books that I really, really loved over the course of this past year.
2023 was a pretty chill year compared with more recent years.
Zero complaints. None at all.
Of course, after an absolutely insane 2020 full of unexpected (and unwanted) transitions — such as being involuntarily terminated from the Peace Corps, evacuated from Ukraine, unemployed for half a year, moving to Flagstaff and starting a new job — everything seems pretty chill in comparison.
